Seven steps. In order. No skipping.

Find a major drawdown
Identify a token down roughly 70% or more from a meaningful previous high. Record previous high, current market cap, % decline, time since high, and changes in volume, liquidity and supply.
A large drawdown alone is not an opportunity. Most tokens that fall 70% keep falling.
Test the narrative
Does the original reason people cared still exist? Check meme relevance, cultural attention, catalysts, independent mentions, competitors and signs of exhaustion or renewed interest.
Every claim needs written evidence and a source link.
Test developer activity
Is the dev or team still active, or has the community taken over? Record latest attributable update, posting history, verifiable development, team-wallet behaviour and ownership changes.
Posting frequency is not legitimacy. Watch for unexplained selling.
Test social activity
Research X, Telegram, Discord. Assess recency, discussion quality, genuine engagement, independent mentions, consistency and possible bot activity.
No tool reliably identifies every bot. Never invent social metrics.
Complete the rug check
Verify the exact contract. Check liquidity depth, holder and related-wallet concentration, insider holdings, mint/freeze authority, transfer restrictions, LP lock, sellability and impersonation risk.
Any critical security failure blocks approval. Checks are chain-specific.
Analyze in FOMO
Open the token in FOMO. Review market cap, liquidity, volume, holders where shown, buy/sell flow, trader profiles and theses.
An alert or another trader's buy is not a buy signal.
Build a trade plan
Before entry, write the recovery thesis, evidence, drawdown, risks, entry conditions, invalidation, size, max loss, exit plan and abandon conditions.
Wait for objective evidence. Do not buy the moment a token crosses -70%.
